Ah. The Neverending story. A childhood classic I’m told. The highest rotten tomatoes score to appear on this podcast to date (just don’t look at the meta score, super fans). Of course, I saw it when I was young and impressionable, but so much of it seemed to escape my mind. If you had told me that a fairytale from my past would include horse death, Suicide, and world destruction I would’ve said...well I would’ve probably said “yea that’s about right.” But it should be shocking! Because it is shocking! This is a movie that’s clearly got grander ideas in mind than the typical fantastical silliness. But how effectively does it execute those ideas?
