If you thought “I’m going to steal the Declaration of Independence” was epic, you HAVE NOT SEEN “I’m going to kidnap the president of the United States”. National Treasure 2 is the most delightful anomaly in all of film. It’s crazier, bigger, and more ridiculous than its predecessor, but it somehow manages to make that work entirely to its advantage. Indeed, this is not only an improvement on the original, but it’s actually a great movie by most standards. And what’s even better is listening to two sleep deprived lunatics rant on and on about this glorious display of Nic Cage: Uncaged.
