We’ve made it, people! 20 episodes. To commemorate, I could think of no better way than to discuss one of my all time favorite films. I’ve always said, “‘your favorite’ and ‘the best’ are two different things,” and if you didn’t believe me before, hopefully this can convince you. I know this film is bad. In fact, I know it’s horrible, but I’d be lying if I said there isn’t something absolutely magic about it. I watch this film at least once every year. And if you listen to this episode, you’ll hear me talk about all sorts of fun and whacky antics incorporated into this movie that make it a train wreck. But what’s important is that this has become my tradition. I left home years ago to go to college, and I always rooted myself in film. And for whatever reason, this misguided, messy Tim Allen holiday film was something I brought along with me. I will never understand why I love this film, but I hope through talking about it, I can make it apparent that we are all free to love whatever we want, even if it’s Christmas with The fucking Kranks. Thank you for letting me get this far. I hope you continue to enjoy the Bad Movies Podcast. And if you’re Joe Roth or Chris Columbus reading this, I firmly believe you are talented individuals that are capable of doing some masterful work. Forgive me!
