Justice League is a movie I was ECSTATIC for...in 2012. As a young DC fanboy, this is the picture I always wanted on the big screen. But as entries in the DCEU began to trickle out, I became less and less enthralled with seeing my favorite superheroes on the big screen. Man of Steel wasn’t quite what I wanted, but it laid groundwork. Ben Affleck is my soulmate (my irrational obsession is still strong), but Batman V Superman couldn’t convincingly integrate him into that universe. Justice League was really where all Hope was lost though. And it devastates me to say, but this is an irredeemable picture. Critically, it’s not the worst movie I’ve ever seen. But personally, this one hurts the most. If you listen to this episode, don’t be fearful about us waxing on about conspiracy theories (Whedon was hired by Marvel and sabotaged DC, sure dude), but bare in mind these are two frustrated fanboys struggling to stay objective.
